Green Card

There are many ways to get a Green Card, otherwise known as Lawful Permanent Residence (LPR) in the United States. To become a LPR means that you have the right to live and work in the United States indefinitely, provided that you obey our laws. The first step that you have to take to obtain a Green Card is through a petition or an application, depending on the process you follow.

  • Green Card Through a Family Petition
  • Green Card Through an Employment Petition
  • Green Card Through an application for Deportation/Removal Relief
  • Green Card through an application for Asylum

From Green Card to U.S. Citizenship is possible in several ways. The most common is by applying for Naturalization after you have been a Lawful Permanent Resident for five years, or, three years if you are married to a U.S. citizen. See our section on NATURALIZATION for more information.

Your 7-year-old son from a previous marriage can be petitioned by your current wife. When she becomes a US citizen, she will have to file an I-130 for each of you. If she has already filed the I-130, then yours will upgrade to that of spouse of a US citizen, but she will have to file an I-130 for each of the children. The interview process depends on whether you are in the US or abroad.

I would recommend Dallas criminal attorney to any person who feels there is no way out
and all odds are against them.

Yes, sometimes depending on the case. We get people that have had a
deportation order for 10 years and have not done anything about it. It is
    up to the judge.

Hello I have a question im a naturalized us citizen and this question is about my wife i tried to petition her green card and we were sent to ciudad juarez but our petition was declined because before my first child was born my wife was deported.  my wife crossed back to the us illegally and had two of my children before we got our appointment which was a verry long process so after we got declined ,we lived in mexico for a little while and recently my wife came back here to the us again because of the extreme border violence so now she’s been here a while and we had another child i am in great stress will my wife ever be able to be legal here.

My husband was deported 15 plus years ago and re-entered again.  We got married in 2000.  I have a current spousal approval I-130 and he has a current TPS with work authorization.  We were going to try for a motion to reopen but were told since he was deported and came back we could not do this.  We are being told that everything will have be filed through the consulate in El Salvador.  Is this correct? We have already spent thousands with our current attorney and many years to finally be told this.  If it is true, could you please give me a rough estimate of your fees to file in El Salvador for residency.
